Thinking of Moving to Ghana?

The last few years, Ghana has seen an increase in the numbers of people from the diaspora making the decision to move there.  Many have never lived in or even visited an African country in their life.  While some have family ties and feel the need to return back home and explore their roots.  For example, there have been reports that say there are over 3000 African-Americans living in Ghana. Many return because of the sense of disconnection they had their whole lives as a result of being descendants of  enslaved Africans.  Others are tired of the racism they feel living in the U.S.  Some simply want to try a new adventure in a country where the opportunities are raw and at the grassroots level.

Over the last few years I have spent a lot of time in Ghana.  I am also one of those people who have Ghanaian roots, but lived abroad for most of my life.  With all the experiences I have had in the country, I often have people asking me about what it's like. Especially over the last few months since the government declared 2019 the 'year of return' and African-American celebrities spent the month of December in and around Greater Accra.

For those who are considering the move, I've put together this book as a resource for those who want to make the move and don't have any knowledge of the country.
