Food and Hangout Spot

Jolof Rice, Chicken and salad
Food is one of my favourite things about Ghana.  I love the food.  certain dishes I am in love with more than others.  But, this isn't a new experience because I grew up eating this food.  It just tastes so much better here since it's so fresh.  The above dish was at my new hangout spot, the Lizzy Sports Complex and the meal below was at home.
Red red (beans) and fried plantain.
I could eat this every day!

This was taken on the second night I was here.  I had dinner
at the Lizzy sports complex at the lounge/restaurant.

During the day, I have ventured to the Lizzy Sports Complex to relax, read and write.  Apparently it was started by a Ghanaian Footballer (Soccer) as a place for athletes to come play, relax and eat when in town.  But it's also open to the public.  It's pretty quiet for the most part.  However, on Friday nights, there is a live band that plays there.  I caught that this past weekend.   This is not far from where I am.  It's about a 15-20 minute walk for me to get here.  I like it.
